This post is dedicated to my dog Scout, who left this earth today to hunt for the great rabbit in the sky. She was my faithful companion on the many walks I took in my search for old cars (the last picture is her barking at a cat across the street from this Studebaker), and a huge part of my life for the last ten years.
Rest easy, Scout. I miss you already. Catch that rabbit for me, okay?

First, so sorry about your dog. A loss like that can be difficult.
I think the high end 57 Studebaker wagon may be my favorite Studebaker of the 50s. I forget that wagon’s name, maybe Broadmoor or Parkview? But a great example of a really rare car!
Yeah, I really regret not going back to take more pictures of this one. I was reluctant to go up into the driveway, because of 1) the aggressive cat and 2) the unwelcoming house exterior, plus 3) I wasn’t really comfortable doing that at all back then. I found myself in the same neighborhood a couple of years ago, but unfortunately it seems this Stude had moved on in the interim. A pity.
The leaving of your dog is such a pity! Here am I feeling heavy too for your lost companion.RIP for your dog.
